About Us.
What We Do!

At the Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre, we are committed to cultivating a welcoming and inclusive environment for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our mission is to establish a vibrant space that facilitates connection, resource sharing, and engagement in meaningful educational programs and social services. Through a diverse array of community events, we aim to foster inclusivity and mutual understanding, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that enrich our society. We invite you to join us in our dedication to building bridges and strengthening community ties, particularly within the Western Sydney region, as we collaboratively strive to create a harmonious and interconnected environment.
Who We Are.
We believe that community engagement and collaboration are at the heart of what we do here at Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre. Our slew of programs cater to the diverse interests and needs of refugees and new arrivals, particularly from Afghanistan which include: communication promoting language classes, diverse and tradition-rich cultural workshops, health and wellness sessions as a means for physical and mental well-being, basic computer classes for technology confidence, free grocery and clothing donations to relive and make it easier as the cost of living is so hard now, sewing classes for future employability, and youth activities that inspire the next generation. These programs both educate citizens and honor the diverse cultures that contribute to our community and the emerging communities in Penrith and the surrounding Local Government Area.
We have also made mental health and mental well-being as one of the major focus areas for us. We offer therapy, peer support, and social activities that promote peer interaction and combat loneliness. The centre is also an important point of reference for individuals who are seeking information for services and support systems, especially refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who may have specific needs and personal circumstances.
Beyond our programs, we also hold community events, festivals, and cultural celebrations that demonstrate the vibrancy of our diverse communities. Those groupings provide a chance for folks to talk about their practices and their histories, helping to give rise to more regard and familiarity with other cultural groups and a strengthened community.
We do our best to listen to those who reside within the community and intend to make change based on what they need so that even greater and sustainable change may occur. We strive for everyone to have a genuine sense of belonging at the centre and not feel like just a number, but part of a family.
